Your First Visit

We’re Excited to Welcome Each New Endodontic Patient

What to Expect at Wells Endodontics

Welcome to Wells Endodontics! We are thrilled to have you as a new patient and want to ensure your first visit with us is as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Before Your Visit

There are a few things you can do in advance to help your appointment go smoother.

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork or forms. You can also download and fill out these forms from our website to save time.
  • Bring your dental insurance card (if you have one) and a valid photo ID.
  • If you have any medical conditions or are taking any medications, please let us know beforehand.

What Will Happen During Your Visit?

Your first visit (as well as any subsequent visits) will include a through examination for the purpose of accurately diagnosing the complaint for which you are seeking endodontic treatment. Normally that examination will begin by focusing on the tooth for which you and/or your general dentist believe a root canal is needed. Nothing is taken for granted. Sometimes our examination will confirm that your pain is coming from a different tooth. We are experts at diagnosing, locating and alleviating tooth pain. Our decades of experience with diagnosing tooth pain, together with the amazing clarity and complete detail we can see with 3D x-rays, enable us to make spot-on accurate diagnoses with no guess work. Armed with that diagnosis, we will outline your treatment options, explain our recommendations, answer your questions and help you decide what course of action is best for you. If going ahead with a root canal is the right thing to do, we usually will start and finish it that same day.

What Comes Next?

Sometimes it may be necessary to schedule a follow-up appointment to complete your treatment. In any event, our team will provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure your recovery is quick and pain free.

We understand that the mere thought of getting a root canal can be stressful for some patients, which is why we are dedicated to providing an environment that is as friendly, relaxing and comfortable a s possible. We take pride in providing top-quality, pain free endodontic care and look forward to meeting you soon. (Or seeing you again!) If you have any questions or concerns before your visit, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
