Endodontic Treatment at Wells Endodontics
What Is Endodontic Treatment?
Endodontic treatment (also called endodontic therapy or root canal therapy) is done to remove infected pulp from a tooth. It often makes the difference between a patient being able to keep their tooth and needing to have it extracted.
Protecting Your Overall Health
There is much more to oral health and dental hygiene than just having a nice smile. If left untreated for too long, infection i n a tooth could enter your bloodstream, thereby giving rise to serious overall health problems. Appropriate, timely endodontic treatment protects your overall health by eliminating tooth infection before that happens … and does so WITHOUT removing the tooth! There are, of course, infected teeth which cannot be saved, even by the most skilled, determined endodontist. I n such cases, extracting the infected tooth would be necessary to protect your overall health.
